Sara Moscariello — Genealogist
I began my genealogical research in 2019, tracing my family’s origins in Montella, in the province of Avellino. That passion led to the work I do today: genealogical research and local history, with a particular focus on Montella and work that extends to Irpinia, the Sannio region, and the Salerno area.
Using documents, archives, and historical sources, I reconstruct the traces left by the generations that came before us, with method, rigor, and respect for the stories that emerge.

Pasquale Cianciulli: A Rediscovered Story
For over a century, the story of a man who left for America and died—so the story went—“from a toothache” has been passed down in my family. No one knew where he had been buried or what had really happened to him.
Drawing on Italian and American documents, the research has made it possible to reconstruct his story and to give a face, a place, and a story to a name that has remained in the family’s memory for generations
